How do you approach client consultations? I focus on listening and setting realistic expectations for my clients.

What is your philosophy on hair care and styling? I think you should always use professional shampoo, conditioner and blow-dry cream.

How do you stay updated with the latest trends and techniques? I use social media and salon training.

What do you enjoy most about being a hairdresser? I like to make people feel happy and confident.

What do you believe makes a successful client-stylist relationship? I think you need to have good communication skills and understanding.

How do you ensure each client feels satisfied and confident with their hairstyle? I like to have a thorough consultation with my clients.

If you could style anyone’s hair, past or present, who would it be and why? It would have to be Marilyn Monroe because I like her style, which is very different from today’s styles.

What’s your go-to hair product you couldn’t live without? Kerastase Premier Blow-Dry Cream.

What is your philosophy on hair care and styling? It’s important to keep the hair healthy because the healthier the hair is, the more I can do with it.

What do you enjoy most about being a hairdresser? I really enjoy making my clients feel confident.

How would you describe your personal style or aesthetic? Drag through a bush and the latest trends.

How do you ensure each client feels satisfied and confident with their hairstyle? I ask them questions and make sure they are happy with the end result. I also advise on the best aftercare for my clients.

How do you approach client consultations? I always ask questions to gain an understanding of my clients’ wants and needs. I take care to listen to them and explain the possibilities

What is your philosophy on hair care and styling? Condition is paramount, and health over highlights.

How do you stay updated with the latest trends and techniques? I often attend our salon training and keep up-to-date via networking and socials.

What do you enjoy most about being a hairdresser? Leaving my clients looking good and feeling fantastic.

How did you get started in hairdressing? I was a Saturday boy from the age of 13 and I haven’t looked back!

What are your specialities or favourite hair techniques? I specialise in all colouring and cutting techniques and enjoy a challenge.

How do you approach client consultations? With the approach that every client is unique and special in their own way! I listen, advise whilst being open-minded and honest with the client. I am now an expert at being a listening ear!

How do you stay updated with the latest trends and techniques? We are a L’Oréal Professional Salon, which means we can regularly attend training sessions both in London and in-salon. I also attend these sessions, which keep us all updated with the latest style and colour trends. We are also up-to-date on all socials!

What do you enjoy most about being a hairdresser? Being hands-on. I enjoy getting to know my clients and their dislikes, which enables me to do the very best for them each time

What do you believe makes a successful client-stylist relationship? Always putting the customer first. Being able to listen and advise accordingly. Being able to provide a confidential listening ear at all times.

Can you share a memorable client success story? Meeting my wife in the salon. We have been together now for over 18 years. (I was told to say this!)

How do you ensure each client feels satisfied and confident with their hairstyle? Our team has been very successful over the years with the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards. We have made it into the top 10 now, many times.
